John 1:44-48
44Now aPhilip was from bBethsaida, the city of Andrew and Peter. 45 cPhilip *found dNathanael and *said to him, “We have found Him of whom eMoses wrote in the Law, and fthe prophets also wrote: Jesus gthe son of Joseph, from hNazareth!” 46Nathanael said to him, “ iCan anything good be from Nazareth?” jPhilip *said to him, “Come and see.” 47Jesus saw Nathanael coming to Him, and *said of him, “Here is truly an kIsraelite, in whom there is no deceit!” 48Nathanael *said to Him, “How do You know me?” Jesus answered and said to him, “Before lPhilip called you, when you were under the fig tree, I saw you.”
